Hi! We're traveling for 23 days from March 17th to April 8th and plan to spend 6 days in Tokyo, 1 in Nagano, 2 in Kanazawa, 3 in Kyoto, 8 in Osaka, and 2 more in Kyoto. We're planning day trips to Yokohama from Tokyo, Nara, Himeji, Miyajima Island, and Kobe from Osaka, have the freedom to go back and forth from Osaka to Kyoto, and be able to move freely around Tokyo's districts (mainly Ueno, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza). Is it worth it to buy the 21-day pass for 2 people?

Is it a good idea to get a 21-day pass?

Hi there!
A 21-day JR Pass is the most convenient option for your itinerary. It provides the flexibility to travel throughout Japan and explore different regions at your own pace, without worrying about purchasing separate tickets for each journey.
When travelling on the Shinkansen bullet train, please remember that a seat reservation is required, even with a JR Pass. You can make seat reservations at JR stations.
If you are looking for more ideas on how to utilise your 21-day JR Pass, check out our blog post 21 day JR Pass recommended itinerary: Kanto, Kansai and Kyushu.
I hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
Mariko
