Hi,
Will I be able to reserve seats on a shinkansen online even if I only have the exchange order? I will still be able to claim my jr pass when I get to Japan but I want to reserve my seats in advance.

Hi there,
We do not yet offer online seat reservations for purchases made through jrpass.com
You can make seat reservations once you are in Japan and have activated the JR Pass.
