We are traveling to Japan from August 8-18. We are planning our trip, and bought the JRPass. Do we need to reserve tickets to and from the cities that we are planning to visit?? or just simple show with our JR Pass and use trains and buses?

Hi there,
Both are possible, if you like to be flexible and then hop on and off as you like, then just show the pass and that's all.
If you have a set itinerary and want secure, then you can reserve seats at any time when you have activated your pass.
Happy travels,
Daniel
