Hi,

We are looking into do a 7 day trip this Saturday from Tokyo to Kyoto-Nara-Kobe-Hakone-Nikko and back to Tokyo and are wondering whether the Japan rail pass covers most or all train/bus routes.

Thanks in advance for your support and advice!!

Cheers

Hi Sara,

Yes the JR Pass would cover all train travel of the above itinerary and you would be able to make some good savings with the 7 day JR Pass over normal tickets.

The only travel that may not be covered is inside the Hakone area, you can use the JR Pass to travel there by Bullet train (to Odawara station) but you may have to resort to local travel companies in the area there. For the rest however, you are golden!

Let me know if I can help with anything!

That's excellent, thank you so much for your quick response Daniel!

Is there any website where I can search on all trains that are covered by the rail pass for for the trips mentioned?

Many thanks
Sara
