Hi, I have recently purchased JRpass for myself and friends. We are planning to go to Osaka at the end of the month. However, I realised that maybe I should have included our Chinese names in our first names during purchase.

E.g. Full name is: Alan Chan Xiao Ming. 'Alan' is my English first name, while 'Chan' my family name. 'Xiao Ming' is technically my chinese first name.

Normally when I purchase stuff online, i would leave out my chinese name from the first name field, because it would mess up the order of my name. It will become Alan Xiao Ming Chan, instead of Alan Chan Xiao Ming.

I understand that JRpass mentioned that first name must match exactly. So I'm not sure if I will be able to exchange for my jrpass in japan as it is.

Hi there,

Please put your name exactly as it is on your passport in Latin characters. That way you can verify your identity to the JR Staff.

Kind regards,

Alexis
