Hi, my partner and i are planning to go to Japan this upcoming October.
Our journey is Osaka - Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka
Total is around 7days 6 nights, and mostly spend in Tokyo
We were thinking whether we need to get rail pass or buy the tickets separately
Thanks.
Should i get a rail pass?
Hi there!
I do think that a 7 day JR Pass would be beneficial to your travels. A return Osaka Tokyo is roughly the same price as the 7 day JR Pass. Any additional travel you do with the JR Pass is basically what you save.
You use the JR Pass on local JR train in both Tokyo and Osaka and also to travel to and from the Airport, all this together can up to some very nice savings.
An added convenience is that you can use the JR Pass to travel around without having to buy tickets every time!
I hope this helps,
Daniel
