Below is our itinerary for Japan. I plan to but the Japan rail pass for 7 days to cover Osaka-Takayama, buy another ticket for Hakone and tokyo. Is it going to be worth it?
Also, the 7th day of the pass will fall on Oct 24, what time does it expire?

Oct 19-21 Kyoto
Oct 21-22 Kyoto
Oct 22-23 Kanazawa
Oct 23-24 Takayama
Oct 24-26 Hakone
Oct 25-28 Tokyo
