Hi,
I am traveling with 5 adults and 2 year old grand daughter.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for 2 year old?
Do I need to bring car seat?
Also, may I have an estimated travel time from Kyoto to Tokyo if I purchase the Osaka, Tokyo, Hokuriku Arch pass?

Hi there,

No, for a 2-year old, they can travel for free. I would not recommend bringing a car seat - your child will have to sit on you or at your feet, as for children under the age of 5 seats cannot be reserved for them.

Using the Hokuriku Arch Pass, the estimated travel time between the two stations is about 4.5 hours. The route can be found here.

Kind regards,

Alexis
