I am planning my first trip to Japan with a few of my friends. We are college students and are looking for the most affordable way to do so. And by my title, you can see that we wish to do a lot of traveling. We know for sure that we will only have the 7 day pass because most of our time will be in Kyoto and Tokyo. What I want to know is are the JR Passes usable in all these areas?
