My partner and I will be in Japan on April 18th to April 27th, 10 days. We will spend 5 days in Tokyo then travel to Osaka. I want to buy the 7 days JR pass but it will expire before we leave Japan. Am I allowed to book the Shinkansen ticket ahead of time to travel from Osaka back to Tokyo outside of the 7 days? I plan to go to Osaka on April 23rd and back to Tokyo station on April 27th to fly out of Narita.
Can I use the 7 day JR to book the Shinkansen round trip ticket ahead of time? I plan to activate the JR pass when I arrive at Narita airport on April 18th.
