I wanted to ask if I also needed a JRP for my 4 yr. old kid? This website shows ticket price for Adult and ticket price for children (6-11yrs), so how about for my 4yr. old kid, do I need to buy for her also or is she free of charge? Thanks
Japan Rail Pass for a 4yr old child
Hi there!
Children up to the age of 5, some restrictions apply though. Each child needs an accompanying adult and it is expected that you take your child on your lap if they train gets busy.
You can find more about traveling with Childeren HERE.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
wow, thanks!
Not sure how to happened but the first sentence should say: Children below the age of 5 travel for free.
I guess you already figured though :)
Sorry one addition, up to the age of 5, so they are free until they reach the age of 6.
