Hello!

I am travelling with my partner to japan in March and we are staying 2 nights in Mt Fuji and then heading to Kyoto. What is the best and easiest way to get to Kyoto that is completely covered by the Japan Rail Pass? We are staying 5 minutes from Fujikyu Highland Station.

Thank you!

Hi there,

I'm afraid that there is no fully covered route from the area you are staying in the Kyoto. The cheapest is to travel by Fujikyu rail to Otsuki station (around 1,140yen/one way) and from there use the JR Pass to Kyoto. The best route from Otsuki is to take local trains to Tokyo station and from there use the Hikari Shinkansen to Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
