Direct train from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Lake

Hi, I plan to travel to Mt.Fuji with my JR 7 days Pass. I have 2 below questions.

  1. Is JR 7 days Pass valid for using a direct train from Shinjuku, Tokyo to Kawaguchigo Lake?
  2. Is the below schedule valid on Dec 15, 2019
    Starts from JR Shinjuku a.Departs at 08:30 AM and reach Kawaguchiko Station at 10:22 AM b.Departs at 09:30 AM and reach Kawaguchiko Station at 11:22 AM

Hi there,

The JR Pass can be used on this train from Shinjuku station to Otsuki station, from thre an additional fare of about 1200yen is required to Kawaguchiko. This is because the railway to Kawaguchiko is a 3rd sector railway and not included in the JR Pass.
