My husband and I (senior citizen couple) will be one week in Japan - Tokyo 4 days and Kyoto 3 days. We want to take round trip train from Tokyo to Kyoto. Should we buy the JR Pass (Green I think) here before we leave on 5/21, or wait until we arrive in Tokyo?

This is an important question, as you can only buy the JR Pass outside of Japan. I see that your departure will be soon so I would not hesitate buying one.
