Hi Daniel,
I wrote a couple of days ago to ask about going to Amanohashidate from Kyoto. You replied that we cannot use the Sanyo San’in Regional pass for that segment of our trip.
Can we use the Kansai Wide Area Pass to go from Kyoto to Amanohashidate to Tottori via Toyooka? If this is possible, can you tell us what time the train from Toyooka to Tottori runs? My information says it only runs once a day, but I cannot find a time table for it.
(We are traveling in September.)
Thanks !

Hi there,
Yes, this would be covered by the Kansai Wide Pass, at least going Miyazu (very close to Amanohashidate).
For the time tables, these have not been released yet for Sept. Usually this is done about 3 months in advance.
Kind regards,
Daniel
