Hello we are traveling in April , traveling to Tokyo, then Kyoto for 1 night . Then to Kii Tanabe for 1 week hiking
Then to Koyasan for. 1 night and return to Kyoto for 5 nights
Then Mt Fuji 2 nights then return Tokyo
My question is- is a JR pass or Regional passes ( and if so which) better options. We are in Japan 3 weeks but from day 5 to 12, we are hiking and not using trains
Thankyou very much

Hi there,
I would recommend purchasing your tickets individually, since your itinerary is dispersed and you'll be staying in Japan for a while. If you are planning on exploring the Fuji area, the Fiji-Shizuoka Tourist Pass may interest you, as it gives you unrestricted travel access to the Fuji area for 3 days.
Hope this helps!
