Hello JR PASS,
We are two adult travelers, non-Japanese passport holders, living in Korea, planning on this itinerary Jan 23-27 (5 days total):
Haneda airport - Tokyo St. (monorail/JR Yamanote Line)
Tokyo St. - Iiyama St. (JR Shinkansen Hakutaka line)
Iiyama St. - Nozawa Onsen (local bus)
Then back in reversed order, and add 4-6 rides on the JR Yamanote Line during a layover in downtown Tokyo.
Q1:
It seems that a 5-day JR EAST PASS for Nagano/Niigata will cover all our planned travels except the local bus(?)
We are a bit unsure if we have interpreted the EAST PASS coverage correctly... can you clarify? Are we all covered?
Q2:
We arrive in Haneda Airport late at night, and will stay at an airport hotel overnight.
The following morning, I have a meeting and cannot go to the JR EAST PASS travel center at HND airport.
So, my travel partner will go to buy the passes.
Can she buy a pass on my behalf by showing my passport?
Or, must I show up in person to buy the pass?
Thank you in advance, kamsahamnida :)
