Hi, we are considering buying a Kansai - Hiroshima pass.
1. Can this be home-delivered by mail or are we restricted to the machines at the listed stations?
2. How can we book our seats in advance online from abroad (we can read Japanese)? All reservation sites seem to be including base fares as well, which would be covered (if in the Kansai-Hiroshima area) by the Pass.
3. Why is the JR West ALL Pass - an alternative we are considering - not in this menu (it is on the JR West site)?
Thank you!
How to make seat reservations from abroad
Hi there,
The Kansai-Hiroshima pass can be ordered to your home. However, I believe it is only possible to make online reservations for JR-East trains via Ekinet, so you’ll have to make reservations at JR Travel offices. This shouldn’t be a problem for you as there is almost always space on trains and you speak Japanese. Unfortunately we do not sell the JR West Pass, but for your itinerary the Kansai-Hiroshima should be fine.
Hope this helps!
Alexis
