Hi,

I'm arriving Fukuoka International Airport at 830am on 21st Feb 2024 and will be going to Osaka right after that. I am planning to buy the Sanyo San-in Northern Kyushu pass from this website. I have a few questions and hopefully, you can answer them.

My questions are below
1) I understand that after purchasing the ticket from this website, JR will send me the exchange order physically via express such as FedEx. Can it be delivered to me via email instead of FedEx?
2) Can I make Shinkansen and seat reservation online after receiving the exchange order or reservation can only be done after I redeem my JR Pass at Hakata Station?
3) After redeeming the exchange order from Hakata station on 21st Feb, can I reserve my trip to and from Osaka to Kobe (22nd Feb), to and from Osaka to Kyoto (23rd Feb), to and from Osaka to Nara (24th Feb) and to Hakata on 26th Feb?

Hi there,

To redeem the JR Pass you'll need a physical exchange order, which cannot be sent via email and has to be a physical copy.

You can reserve shinkansen train tickets before activating the JR Pass, if you set an activation date during the exchange. If you're unable to exchange it beforehand you can reserve tickets online or at the station as soon as you exchange the pass, and because there are very frequent services it's unlikely you'll have a problem finding seats.

Once you've activated your pass you can reserve tickets for all the journeys you plan on making with the pass!
