Hello,
We will be staying primarily in Tokyo most of our stay, with day trips planned. Some of the places we plan on visiting include Ueno, Disneyland Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Mitaka (Studio Ghibli). Our previous visit we really did not travel outside of Tokyo and just used Suica cards to get around, so we are unsure if there is a pass out there that would be beneficial, or if we should stick with Suica cards and buy tickets as we need them for the shinkansen or other trains.
Some of our questions:
1. Is there a pass that is worth it if we travel Tokyo to Kyoto to Osaka to Tokyo? For example, the Hokuriku Arch Pass? We cannot seem to find how long the trip takes from Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka using this pass vs a different shinkansen.
We are assuming a pass is worth it if we travel back and forth each day trip (for example, Tokyo to Kyoto to Tokyo and then at a later date Tokyo to Osaka to Tokyo)?
Is there a pass that will also cover our travel in and around Tokyo, or do we still need to purchase a Suica separately?
Thank you!
