Hello!

I was wondering what would be the recommended pass for my trip/itinerary. My trip will have me arriving in the evening in Nagasaki on 11/29 visiting multiple prefectures/cities/places as I make my way to Tokyo where I will spend the tail end of my trip. I fly out later in the evening on 12/20 from Hanada Airport.

Below is a list of the locations I will be visiting/traveling through by train. Also when would be the best date to purchase my pass in order to pay the old price before the increase on September 30th (NA) / October 1st (Japan)? I think depending on the suggested pass would determine when I would want to place my order?

Day 1: Hanada Airport (Afternoon) -> Nagasaki Airport (Evening) -> Nagasaki Downtown Area (Evening/Night)
Day 2-3: Nagasaki Exploration Continued
Day 4: Nagasaki (Morning/Afternoon) to Fukuoka (Evening/Night)
Day: 5: Fukuoka Exploration Continued
Day 6: Fukuoka (Morning) -> Hiroshima (Afternoon/Night)
Day 7: Hiroshima (Morning/Afternoon) -> Kobe (Lunch?) -> Osaka (Night)
Day 8-9: Osaka Exploration Continued
Day 10: Osaka (Morning) -> Nara (Afternoon) -> Kyoto (Evening/Night)
Day 11-12: Kyoto Exploration Continued
Day 13: Kyoto (Morning) -> Mt. Fuji Area (Afternoon & Night)
Day 14: Mt. Fuji Area (Morning) -> Yokohama (Afternoon) -> Tokyo (Night)
Day 15-19: Exploring Major Cities & Attractions
Day 20: Tokyo (Morning) -> Gunma (Afternoon & Night)
Day 21: Gunma (Morning) -> Tokyo (Afternoon & Night)
Day 22: Tokyo (Morning) -> Hanada Airport

Thank You for Any Advice and Help

Hi there,

When it comes to a pass, the best match would be to use a 14-day JR Pass for travel from day 4 to day 18. Since your travel is at the start of December, that means you could order around mid-September at the old pricing. You could also add a day trip out of Today for extra value, like Nikko, Kamakura, Takao just to name a few.

Kind regards,
Daniel
