Hi! I'm coming to Japan to run the Tokyo Marathon in March!

Should I buy a JR pass for the following?

--Go from HND to Hiroshima --Spend 2 nights in Hiroshima -- Go from Hiroshima to Osaka -- Stay in Osaka for 5 nights (also go to Nara and Kyoto during these days) -- Go from Osaka to Tokyo (go around Tokyo and go to Sanrio Puroland) for another 5 nights

Not sure if it's worth it to get a JR pass... which one?

Thanks!

Hello,

The short answer is yes, in your instance the 14-day JR Pass is worth it. All your destinations are easily accessible by trains operated by the JR Group which means you'll have easy access to them through local rail lines and the Shinkansen bullet trains.

The JR Pass is also perfect for hassle-free day trips to places like Nara and Kyoto from Osaka, which is why it would significantly aid you on your trip.

Hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions if you wish.

And good luck on your marathon!
