Hi Daniel,

I am planning to visit Amanohashidate from Kyoto in Dec. I saw some post said the route is cover by the JR pass and some said it will just cover partially.

I have come across two limited express train: Hashidate and Kinosaki, what is the different between the two and are both of them available at the Kyoto station?

Thanks,

Gloria

Hi Gloria,

The final destination of the trains is the main difference, where Hashidate will indeed go to Hashidate station, the Kinosaki will terminate at Kinosaki-Onsen. I believe both have departures from Kyoto station.

Note that the route is covered as far as Maizura by the JR Pass.

Kind regards,
Daniel
