Hi everyone,

I'm still busy trying to figure out everywhere I can use my JR Pass. I'll be landing at Narita airport terminal 1 and traveling to accommodation in Tokyo. Google maps gives me the following route:

Narita Airport Terminal 1 Station to Keisei Yawata Station via Keisei Line Limited Express Keisei-Ueno

and then

Moto-Yawata Station to Funabori Station via Shinjuku line

Will my pass be valid on these lines? I think it will be fine on the shinjuku line but I'm uncertain about the Keisei limited express as I cannot find this limited express in the handbook. I know the skyliner isn't covered.

Thank you

Hi there,

Google Maps is not always the best option to find routes for the JR Pass, as there are no train filters. For example, here, the Keisei Line Limited Express is not covered. In addition, the Shinjuku line is a metro line, so not included either.

Instead, you could use the Narita Express to Tokyo station with the JR Pass, and from there use the JR Sobu line to Bakuro-yokoyama and finally from there the Toei Shinjuku Line (Metro) to Funabori Station.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thank you! Yes I've noticed that google maps are difficult to use. Downloaded Navitime now where I can put in that I'm traveling with a jr pass :D
