Hi, I'm planning to visit Japan in May 2023.
Would like to seek advice if the following itinerary is fine? May I also check if 7 days JR pass is worth for this trip (Day 2 to Day 8)?
Day 1: Narita > Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo > Nikko (day trip)
Day 3: Tokyo > Kyoto
Day 4: Kyoto
Day 5: Kyoto > Osaka
Day 6: Osaka > Nara (day trip)
Day 7: Osaka > Tokyo
Day 8: Tokyo > Hakone (day trip)
Day 9 &10: Tokyo

Yes, the JR Pass would be worth it for this trip. The cost of a 7-day JR Pass is similar to a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka. From there, any additional travel is what you save. You have quite a few, like Nikko, Nara and Hakone. That all adds up!
