Hi Daniel-San,
Hope you can help me to decide what type of JR pass my trip should get. I'm traveling for 14 days in Japan from the 19th of december til 1st of January. Should I get regional passes (if so, which regional passes) or the 14-day pass?

  1. Narita Airport to Tokyo
  2. Tokyo to Madarao
  3. Madaro to Osaka
  4. Osaka to Hiroshima
  5. Hiroshima to Osaka
  6. Osaka to Tokyo
  7. Tokyo to Narita Airport

Thank you for your help!

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your itinerary, always fun to read what trips look like and help's me stay inspired too :)

I don't have the amount of days that you spend in each city, but assuming you'd be back by Tokyo within 14 days, then the 14-day Japan Rail Pass would certainly be the best option.

It covers travel between all these cities, and the airport as well. As you are going through many regions, a regional pass would not make sense.

Have a fantastic trip!
Daniel
