Hi all

Me and 3 friends have booked tickets to japan. Were
Planning to go on the 6th september until the 21st where we will land in osaka kansai international and fly back from toyko narita. Just wondering if the itinerary below suits our needs for a 7 day jr pass, or a 14 day one, and if our plan would cover all transportation costs

Day one : land in osaka kansai international. Stay in osaka and explore
Day two: explore osaka
Day three: explore osaka
Day four: visit kyoto from osaka. Leave early morning return at night
Day five: visit kyoto from osaka. Leave early morning and return at night
Day 6: visit hiroshima from osaka. Leave early morning and return at night.
Day 7: osaka-toyko. Stay in toyko until flight back home

Ideally would like to spend a less day in osaka if it means we can go to either kobe or nara if the jr pass covers those areas. If not what jr pass would suit this plan the most?

All the best

Hi there,

The JR Pass will cover travel between all these cities and would help you make good savings. As you travel 7-days, I'd get a 7-day JR Pass for Day 1 - Day 7.

You can use the JR Pass to travel to Kobe and Nara as well.

Kind regards,
Daniel
