I am planning a trip with my boyfriend to Japan in November for 9 days. We were planning on going to Tokyo, Osaka and maybe Kyoto for a day trip from Osaka. We will then be flying to Seoul from Osaka. I was wondering if it would be worth it for us to get a JR pass? I'm not sure of how much we'd save. What are some other options if the JR Pass isn't worth it for my trip? It would be great to hear your advice/suggestions :)
Is it worth it for me to get a JR Pass?
Hi there,
Will you fly in to Tokyo than travel to Osaka and fly back home from there? I would not recommend a JRPass in such a case as you won't be traveling around so enough. A JR Pass would quickly become worth it however if for instance you made a return trip Tokyo - Osaka.
For now though, I think it is best to simply buy tickets as you go.
Enjoy Japan!
Daniel
