Hi All,

I have already bought a 7 day JR pass for my trip.

My Itinerary:

6th Sep: From Tokyo to Mt Fuji ; Ques: How can I use JR pass to reduce my extra train or bus charges, which I need to pay using non JR lines? or should I buy seperate Mt. FUJI 2 day pass, which cost extra 5500 yen?

Hi there!

Good question!

As you already know, the JR Pass unfortunately does not cover the full way to Fuji, however there are savings to be had for sure!

The best way to use the JR Pass to get to Fuji is to travel from Tokyo to the station called Otsuki, from here you can use the Fujikyu line to travel to Fuji (which is 1,100 yen).

I hope this helps!
Daniel
