We are looking to start in Hakodate > Tokyo > Nagano > Kanazawa > Kyoto > Tokyo.
Is this possible in 7 days and is it worth it to get a JR pass?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,
Yes, for your itinerary I'd certainly recommend purchasing a JR Pass as it is definitely likely that - this itinerary can certainly be done in 7 days but note that you'd essentially be spending one day in each place. If you wanted to, you could slightly extend your trip while ensuring that your days of travelling remained at 7, meaning you could spend a few extra days at the start or end of your trip in Hakodate/Tokyo.
Kind regards,
Alexis
Thank you. My followup question is that my son is living in Tokyo going to school. If he is not eligible for a JR Pass, will he still be able to travel with us in the upgraded seats?
