Hokkaido Rail Pass?

Hello, going to Hokkaido next week and trying to figure out if a 5 day pass is worth it.

Activate at Hakodate station and travel to Noboribetsu (maybe Hakodate to Toya to Noboribetsu), Noboribetsu to Otaru, Otaru to Yoichi Station, Yoichi back to Otaru, Otaru to Sapporo. Would this be worth it?

I believe if I skipped Toya and took a day trip to Asahikawa or Furano it would be but not sure without. Also general opinion, 1st week October, skip Toya for Asahikawa or Furano?

Hi there,

If you do Hakodate and / or Asahikawa, then a Hokkaido Rail Pass is worth considering.

Otherwise, for just Noboribetsu to Otaru, Otaru to Yoichi Station not so much.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thanks I'd definitely do Hakodate, Noboribetsu, Asahikawa and/or Furano, Otaru ending in Sapporo.
