Hello Expert,

We are visiting Japan from 22 March 2023 ( Arrival Narita Airport 21:00 Hrs) and Return 1 April 2023 (Handea Aiport 00:01 Hrs, basically 31 March late night), our current itinerary / plan as follows to get your expertise advise to visit places and JR rail pass + others options to explore
Day1 (22/03): Arrival and check-in (Hotel in Kanda area) Day 2 (23/03):Tokyo city sight seeing
Day 3 (24/03): Tokyo sight seeing + Hitachi seaside park
Day 4 (25/03): Mount Fuji visit (return Tokyo)
Day 5 (26/03): check from Tokyo hotel and placing to visit Tateyama or Kanazawa
Day 6 (27/03): from Tateyama / Kanazawa to Kyoto ( hotel check-in)
Day 7 (28/03): Kyoto sight seeing
Day 8 (29/03): Kyoto to Hiroshima
Day 9 (30/03): Hiroshima to osaka (night stay)
Day 10 (31/03) Osaka to Tokyo Haneda airport (reach airport around 9pm for 1 April 1 am flight)

First few days (3 days) using paid transport and Plan to purchase 7 days JR pass after that to explore Japan as per above itinerary/ plan ( or if 14 days pass is worth while then please advise)

Appreciate your assist to make a proper plan and purchase a rail passes accordingly.

Hi Natarajan,

Yes, I would also recommend a 7-day JR Pass for travel from Day 4 to Day 10. You can optimize this a little bit by switching day 3 and day 4, as the JR Pass will give you better value for going to Hitachi.

Then use normal tickets for local travel around Tokyo (and maybe book a tour for Fuji), there are also cheap bus options from Shinjuku/Tokyo station to Kawaguchiko & Fuji Five lakes.
