1st visit!
9 days in May 2023, do I need 7 day JRpass?

Hotel near Shinjuku Station

Day 1 - narita to shinjuku, dinner shinjuku
Day 2 - Shibuya
Day 3 - Osaka overnight (wat time is earliest rain?)
Day 4 - Osaka to Kyoto - back to shinjuku (what time is the latest train?)
Day 5 - Asakusa
Day 6 - Odaiba
Day 7 - Kamagura maybe yamamoto or another half day trip
Day 8 - Shinjuku (no more 7day pass lol)
Day 9 - narita airport
alternate day trip - Fuji all day

Will I get all bullet trains in Shinjuku station?
Will JR pass include the yamanote line?
Do I still need IC card for short hops in tokyo?

Hi there,

I don't have the train schedules yet for next year, generally speaking, service starts at 6 am to finish around midnight. Shinkansen to Osaka depart from both Tokyo and Shinagawa stations in Tokyo. You can reach them by JR Yamanote line from Shinjuku.

The JR Pass includes the Yamanote line, but we still recommend an IC card, like Suica for other transport methods.
