Arrive in Tokyo on the 8th of Feb.Looking to go to the Sapporo Snow Festival. as I have jus bought my JR Pass.Any ideas on the best route up there to catch it on time before it closes on the 11th of Feb?

You can use Hyperdia to check for Train Routes,
If you are unfamilair with Hyperdia I would recommand reading our travel blog post about it here.
I looked up the route for your with the JR-Pass, Route 1 can give you and idea of what the trip would look like. If the trip is a bit to long for you to make in a day, consider a stop over in Aomori or Hakodate.
