Hello,

We are looking at travelling in early June 2024 for 2 weeks.
Arriving at Narita Airport then planning to travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima and then back to Narita to fly home.
We are also looking at doing a day trips to Nara as well as to see Mt Fuji as well.

Do you believe the JR pass will be appropriate for us? and if so which one? or should we buy individual tickets?

Thank you so much!

Hello,

Your best bet would buying a 14-day JR Pass. All the locations in your itinerary are easily accessible by rail using the JR Pass.

If you plan on seeing Mt Fuji, there are stations all around it on JR-operated rail lines, as well as the Shin-Fuji Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train line. However, please note that if you are planning on getting any closer than that you will have to take a bus from the station. If you are just there to see it then it's not something you have to worry about.

Hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions, if you wish.
