Good morning:

My partner and I will be traveling to Japan in August and we want to buy the JRP of 14 days and we wanted to know if it's okay to buy this one or not because we want to be 1 week on Tokyo visiting Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya... and then 1 week in Kyoto and visit it, Hiroshima, Osaka...

Another question is about the validation. We arrive at 10:40 pm at Haneda Airport and it's a bit late so we don't know if we can validate the JRP anywhere at that hour?

Thank you so much.

Hi there,

A 7-day Japan Rail Pass would be great for intercity travel, assuming you can use it for all the cities you want to travel to and use it for your return to Tokyo as well.

The JR desk at Haneda Airport will be closed by 10:40pm, you could then activate the JR Pass the following morning at most major stations in Tokyo.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hello,

A pass of 7 days will work for 2 weeks? Because we'll be 1 one week in Tokyo and another week visiting different places. Don't we need a 14 days jrp?

Thank you.
