Hi,

I am really overwelmed by the response to a lot of queries posted here, so want your advice on my itinerary too. I have opted for 7 day JR pass

21nd - arrive at Narita

22rd - Narita to Arima onsen ( how do I go from Narita to Arima onsen, best train option)

23th - Arima onsen to Osaka ( JR train option from Arima to Osaka)

25th- Osaka to Kyoto (JR train option from Osaka to Kyoto)

(best pass to explore Arima onsen, Osaka and kyoto)

27th - Kyoto to Atami (JR train option from Kyoto to Atami)

28th- Atami to Tokyo (JR train option from Atami to Tokyo)

29th to 1st - tokyo ( best pass to go around tokyo)

Regards,
Archana

Hi Archana,

Going from Narita Airport to Arima Onsen takes a bit of a trip. You will want to take the Narita Express to Tokyo station, from there use the bullet trains to Shin-Kobe station. For there see this page to get to Arima Onsen.

There are buses from Arima to Osaka station, these are not covered by the JR Pass but area direct connection. An alternative is to return to Kobe or Shin-Kobe station and take the JR from there to Osaka,

From Kyoto you can use the Shinkansen directly to Atami station and from Atami the Shinkansen runs directly to Tokyo.

For travel within Tokyo, consider buying metro day tickets. These offer great value if you plan on exploring a lot.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
