Hello,

I'm coming to Japan 2nd of November and thinking to go to Kyoto, stay overnight and go to Osaka, stay there overnight and come back to Tokyo. Is it cheaper will be get JR pass or get separate tickets?

Will be thankful for any information!

Hi there,

The JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto or Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen. From there any additional travel is what you can save with the JR Pass, think about local travel, travel to the airport and perhaps even a day trip somewhere else.

Hope this helps!
