Hi

I am not sure whether it will be cheaper to purchase a 14 day travel pass or alternatively to purchase a 7 day travel card and pay separately for the following. Can let me know the price of single train tickets for the following routes:-

  1. Kyoto to Hiroshima.
  2. Tyoko to Kyoto.
  3. Tyoko to Kita-Kamakura

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there!

Here are the basic costs:

  1. Tokyo > Hiroshima: ¥17850, (295mins, 894km)
  2. Tokyo > Kyoto: ¥13020, (164mins, 513km)
  3. Tokyo > Kitakamakura: ¥1590, (44mins, 48km)

If you give me your full itinerary I can certainly give you advice on whether a 7 or 14 day pass is better, but on the basis of this, if these are your "extra legs", then a 14 day pass will be much more economical than a 7 day + separate tickets.

You can look up train timetables and costs for most of these legs at the Hyperdia travel planning website and learn how to use Hyperdia for Japan Rail Pass holders through our video blog.

Hope this helps!
