Is it do able to get from the Cruise dock at Tempozan Pier walking to a train station with one roller bag each and getting a train to Kyoto (staying at the New Miyako Hotel (across the street from the train station--Name?? unsure)
We want to go to Tokyo (Tokyo station in Tokyo) from Kyoto, again with one roller bag each. What station do we need to use in Kyoto.

1.) You can walk from the pier to the Subway station called Osakako, from here take a subway to Bentencho from where you can use the JR to Osaka station and use the Kyoto line from there to Kyoto station. Here is an example itinerary. Your hotel should be within walkable distance from Kyoto station.
2.) This is simple: you can board the Shinkansen directly from Kyoto station to Tokyo station, no transfers required.
