Ski and luggage for international travellers - Tokyo to Morioka

My wife and I and 2 children wish to fly Australia to Tokyo then take Shinkansen to Morioka on or around 13 January 2020.

We will have large luggage - up to 800mm long x 500mm wide x 400mm deep

We will also have 4 x snow ski bags up to 1900mm long.

Questions:

  1. How can we best take this luggage on SHinkansen. Can we pay extra if necessary for the luggage?

  2. What are the quietest days to travel?

  3. What are the quietest times of the morning to travel?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Peter Hercules

Hi there,

1.) Yes, you can.

2.) Usually week days after rush hour.

3.) After 9 or before 6.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
