Would you see more on a bus rather than rail travel?
My cruise starts in Yokohama then Kobe and Beppu.
What are best ways to see Tokyo, Himeji and Nagasaki?

Hello,

It's hard to say in general, I guess it would depend on the route that you will travel.

In general local trains and limited express trains can give you amazing views, Shinkansen trains travel trough a lot through tunnels.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Well actually, between Tokyo and Osaka the shinkansen gives some excellent views. But between Osaka and Fukuoka there are a lot of tunnels that mar the view. I'd still take the shinkansen anyway, since your time is limited.
