Hi all-

I'm planning on going to Japan at the end of March with one other. Trying to figure out if we should get a JR pass... I'm thinking yes, but any advice would be appreciated.

3/22- arrive at narita- travel into Tokyo
3/23- day in Tokyo
3/24- travel to Nara in the am; stay night
3/25- travel to Kyoto in am;
3/26-Kyoto
3/27-travel to Zushi City
3/28- Zushi City (wedding) followed ideally by taking train back to Tokyo that evening/night
3/29- Tokyo
3/30- depart Narita

Or something like that.

Thanks!

Hi there!

A 7 Day JR Pass certainly would work out great for you. The Price of a 7 day JR Pass is about the same as a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto on the Shinkansen. You'd be sure to make some great savings with all the additional travel.

Zushi city it about one our out of Tokyo on the JR Yokosuka Line, the last train connection departs at 23:35, giving you a good amount of time to enjoy the wedding.

Lastly, be sure to use the JR Pass from 3/24 until 3/30 this way you will make the best use of your pass.

Have a great trip!
Daniel
