should I get a JR pass

Hi,
My families and friends in total of 9 pax is visiting Japan. Below is our itinerary ( 2 groups diff arrival)

first group

Day 1 - Kansai Airport to Tokyo
Day 2 - Tokyo
Day 3 - Tokyo
Day 4 - Tokyo
Day 5 - Tokyo - Nagoya
Day 6 - Nagoya - Takayama
Day 7 - Takayama - Shirakawago - Shin hotaka Ropeway
Day 8 - Takayama - Kyoto
Day 9 - Kyoto
Day 10 - Kyoto - Osaka
Day 11 - Osaka
Day 12 - Osaka
Day 13 - Osaka
Day 14 - Osaka
Day 15 - Osaka USJ
Day 16 - Osaka
Day 17 - Osaka - Kansai Airport

Second Group

Day 1 - Kansai Airport - Nagoya
Day 2 - Nagoya - Takayama
Day 3 - Takayama - Shirakawago - Shin hotaka Ropeway
Day 4- Takayama - Kyoto
Day 5 - Kyoto
Day 6 - Kyoto - Osaka
Day7- Osaka
Day 8 - Osaka
Day 9 - Osaka
Day 10 - Osaka
Day 11 - Osaka USJ
Day 12 - Osaka

Hi there,

I checked both groups, and for both I think it would be better to buy normal tickets instead of a pass.
