Shinjuku to Nikko.

I am looking to ride the direct train from Shinjuku to Nikko this June. I see there is a nice train departing from Asakusa (Spacia I think is what it is called) but being a 5 minute walk from Shinjuku is too convenient to pass up. I can't find very much information on the "Nikko 1" train that goes Shinjuku to Nikko in the morning and then back on the "Nikko 8"

Is it a nice train? As nice as the Spacia? Would people recommend it? Is there food for purchase?

Hello there,

You can find all the information about the Spacia Train departing from Asakusa on this website, including time tables and route information.

As for the train from Shinjuku - Nikko, you can find all the information about it HERE. It is joined operated by JR-East and Tobu and is actually the same try type called Spacia.

I've always used the Shinkansen for travel to Nikko, so can't comment on how the trip itself it but it looks very nice from seeing online pictures.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
