Dear Sirs,
We are meeting a friend at Kansai International Airport. We are arriving at 18:25 from Honolulu via JAL, our friend is arriving 18:45from San Francisco via Hawaiian Airlines. After immigration and customs, where can we meet up at the airport?
We are in route to Kyoto and do not want to activate our JR Passes yet. What are our options for travel and what cost?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dianne,
Kansai Airport is quite small and easy to navigate. You could just meet in the arrivals hall, alternatively you could meet in front of the JR ticket office (just follow the signs with Railways). Both are easy to find.
If you do go to Kyoto, look at using a Haruka + Icoca package deal.
