We are staying a number of locations, sometimes at major hotels. I plan to have my luggage shipped between those hotels. But, we are also staying at some remote Ryokans, sometime for only one night, where I don't believe that I will be able to ship the luggage at all or not in a timely manner. The luggage consists of one large case and one carry-on type case for each of us (four total)? Can I take luggage on the bullet train? Is there a place in the green car to place them? Thank you.

Hi there,
This would not be a problem at all :) In general, you are allowed 2 suitcases per person.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
