We are travelling to Japan for 14 days starting in the Osaka region
-Osaka - Nara
- Osaka - himeji are travel plans for first 2 days
- then Osaka - to Hiroshima(3rd day) and then onwards to Kyoto (4 days) from Hiroshima and then to
- Kyoto - Tokyo for another 5 days
Should we take the Kansai pass plus the 7 days JR pass ?
Osaka - Hiroshima, miyajima does not get covered in the JR pass - right
Also can the JR PASS BE USED FOR LOCAL TRANSPORT

Hi there,
It would make sense to use a JR West Kansai Area Pass for travel around Kansai and to Himeji. Then use a 7-day Japan Rail Pass for travel to Hiroshima and Tokyo by Shinkansen.
The JR Pass can be used on local JR lines and local JR buses, transport run by other companies however is not included.
