Hi,
I would want my children to experience Shinkansen using Kanto Area Pass.
We will be staying at Shinagawa, so I think we need to go Tokyo Station in order to take the Shinkansen to Omiya.
My question is which Shinkansen can I take, understand Habusaya & Komachi is not cover under Kanto Area Pass...
if use Habusaya or Komachi what is the supplement charges... what is the next best Shinkansen beside this two, meaning fastest?

Hi there,
The Kanto pass is very limited when it comes to Shinkansen travel, the only Shinkansen which you can use it on are the Yamabiko and the Nagano Shinkansen. If you wish to use the high speed Shinkansen such as the Hayabusa or Nozomi, then you will have to pay the full ticket price.
My recommendation would be to use the Kanto pass to visit Nikko, this way you get to experience the Shinkansen and visit Nikko at the same time.

So I can use Nagano Shinkansen from Tokyo to Omiya, may I know which line I should use? I only got 2 days in Tokyo before proceed to Sapporo.
Another question : Can I use Kanto Area Pass from Tokyo to Disneyland Staion (Maihama Station)?

Hi Again,
There's only one line to Omiya, so you can't miss it. Just ask the JR Staff for a ticket to Omiya and they will give you the right route.
Yes the JR Kanto pass is also good for travel to Maihama station. From there you can walk to Disneyland.
