I'm travelling for 8 days: osaka, kyoto, country kyoto, nara, and koyasan. What is the most cost effective travel option, and if it's a JR pass, is it downloadable? I fly out in two days. I only saw a courier option? ! Many thanks!

Hi there,
We have to ship the pass to you physically, that's unfortunately how JR wants it.
However I see that most of your travel is just around the Kansai Area, travel here is not that price and you won't need a JR Pass, unless you travel on a bit further to say Hiroshima or Tokyo.
